On Oct 3, 2009, P.J. Epperson, Pat Jobe, and Pepper Lebeck-Jobe began a race to one million push ups. Epperson and Lebeck-Jobe are the sons of the aforementioned Jobe, of relatively sound mind and body, and yet still possessed of the notion that it might be fun to not only do a million push ups over the next eight to 12 years, but it might also be fun to keep a record of said push ups and use that record to track a race to see who can get there first. Please feel free to leave your comments on the sanity, entertainment value, or other ways you have of reacting to this wild and crazy event. And thanks for stopping by our web site.
Update: On November 5th, 2010, the totals were reset since Pat was absolutely running away with the lead, and the other racers were getting discouraged. Plus, Lloyd joined the race.
Update: On August 11th, 2023, Pat Jobe did his 1 millionth pushup. Pepper, Luke, and P.J. joined him for the final 20 of his first million. Now, he's starting on the second million.
